Description:
This is a true All American Gem. Along with the Montana Sapphire it has a rich history dating back to the mid 1920's where this stone was discovered on the Oregon Desert and was mistaken for a diamond. It's Yellow, Orange, and rare occuring Green color provide an array of Natural Beauty. This stone is actually Labradorite and it's the ONLY one in the world that contains Natural Copper which provides the unique orange and red colors. Be careful of fakes that have copper diffused into the gem. These are from Africa or India and are not true Oregon Sunstones. I dug these gems with my own hands, and we are passing on the best that we have. They are truly an American treasure. This particular Oval Gem is Calibrated and flooded with Natural Copper causing this brilliant light orange Gem with a slight background green hue.
