Description:
This is a true All American Gem. Along with the Montana Sapphire it has a rich history dating back to the mid 1920's where this stone was discovered on the Oregon Desert and was mistaken for a diamond. It can occur in Yellow, Orange, and a Green color. This stone is actually Labradorite and it's the ONLY one in the world that contains Natural Copper which provides the unique array of color. Be careful of fakes that have copper diffused into the gem. These are from Africa or India and are not true Oregon Sunstones. I dug these gems with my own hands, and we are passing on the best that we have. This gem is a big 5.50 Carat Trillion that is beautifully faceted and amazingly clean. (sjs)
